If you access google.com and you are redirected to some regional version, such as google.com.hk, reset the regional settings by accessing https://www.google.com/ncr

NCR stands for No Country Redirection. The problem is caused by google's geo-location algorithm which correlates users' location as per their account settings to the IP address, regardless of the actual country where the IP is geo-located.
